What changes for your sourcing.

Via an origin broker
The middleman's margin hidden in the price; you don't know what the field is paid.
Partial traceability: hard to justify your customers' audits.
Fragile programme: with no commitment, volume drops at peak season.
With La Lonja as your supplier
FCA FairPrice with its source: you see how the price is formed.
Lot-to-farm traceability, from plot to dispatch, and audit.
Committed forward programme: the field plans its harvest against your programme.

Three ways to aggregate demand.

Depending on whether you need to secure the full campaign, cover a gap this week or bid on an opportunity lot.

forwardCampaign programme

You commit volume and FCA before harvest. The field plans its harvest against your programme and you cover your supply for the whole window.

① You define product, spec and schedule
② You set an FCA reference with FairPrice and close the price in the contract
③ You receive in deliveries, with plot-to-dispatch traceability
spotAggregated load

You join an open load of the week. La Lonja consolidates your volume with other loads in the programme to optimise freight and price, without committing to a campaign.

① You see what's harvested this week
② You join the load going to your destination
③ The truck is consolidated and leaves
subastaOpportunity lot

You buy a surplus or immediate lot that La Lonja puts up for auction as the seller. Market price to cover a one-off gap, without committing to a campaign.

① You see the lots La Lonja puts up for auction and their close
② You bid your FCA price
③ If you win the auction, we organise the load

Exploring demand

Frequently asked questions.

Do you handle customs and phytosanitary?

Yes. On DAP delivered UK we handle import clearance and phytosanitary. On FCA at origin you clear it yourself; we hand over the export documentation.

Who is the importer of record?

It depends on the incoterm: on DAP delivered UK it's on our side through to destination; on FCA at origin you are the importer of record. We make it explicit in the contract.

What's the typical lead time to the UK, including the border?

When we quote we give an honest transit range including border controls —not a fixed promise. It's the first thing we confirm per programme.

Is the price in EUR or GBP? What about import VAT?

Price in EUR or GBP per contract. Import VAT is the importer of record's responsibility. We inform you of the basis; we don't give tax advice.

Which incoterms do you work with?

By default FCA with FairPrice at origin, or DAP delivered UK, Incoterms® 2020. FOB only with a real sea shipment from a named port. The cold chain is managed through to the agreed incoterm.

Do you provide traceability for my customers' audits?

Yes. Every lot carries plot-to-dispatch traceability —producer, plot, lot and harvest date— with a QR that documents origin. When the producer and reference hold a valid GLOBALG.A.P./GRASP certification, it's verifiable by their GGN.

What if a lot doesn't meet the spec?

The conformity guarantee applies —replacement with an equivalent lot or a credit— taking the border crossing and destination inspection into account. You see it in the terms before you commit.

Start sourcing from origin.

Tell us what you need or which programme you're interested in. We'll validate origin, capacity and schedule before presenting you an offer. FCA FairPrice, plot-to-dispatch traceability and the volume of the Bajo Guadalquivir brought together for your market.
